Visit of representatives of the Norwegian People's Aid
The Mine Action Center hosted important guests - representatives of world-renowned humanitarian organization Norwegian People’s Aid (NPA). The purpose of the visit was to discuss the future monitoring of the NPA program in Ukraine. The meeting was attended by Toomas Tamosyunas, who holds the position of head of the operations department and is an operations manager NPA in Ukraine.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the current state of demining in Ukraine and the need for careful monitoring anti-mine activity. NPA has many years of experience in such work and plans to continue its mission in Ukraine with the goal ensuring the safety of the civilian population.
For its part, the Mine Action Center assured that it will make every effort to promote the work of the NPA in Ukraine. The agreements reached during the meeting will become the basis for further cooperation and development of future details monitoring.
At the end of the visit, the parties emphasized the importance of solidarity and coordinated work of all interested parties for the sake of mine action in Ukraine and assistance to affected regions.
